I always look forward to our annual Wausau, WI Texas Roadhouse kids fishing derby in July. This year marks our 7th Annual Derby and it has grown in size each year to be an event many families and kids look forward to.
I started off my travels at the La Crosse Texas Roadhouse. It was my first visit to this restaurant but will not be the last! Then it was off to see my friends in Janesville, New Berlin, Appleton and of course Wausau. I think we set the attendance record this year for the derby with almost 70 kids fishing... can you say legendary!
I can’t say how much fun it is to be part of this event and it seems that no matter how big it gets the entire Wausau Texas Roadhouse team does an effortless job in putting this event together. I can’t wait until next year!
After another awesome Kids' Derby it was off for the last few visits to West Bend, Sheboygan and Racine. In Racine I was a part of the Salmon A Rama event where nearly 2,000 salmon enthusiasts come and fish the 9-day event in hopes of catching the biggest king salmon! The Racine store was sponsoring the event and asked if I would be a part of the final days celebration.
After a great Friday appearance, I went out and caught a few salmon with store marketer, Kristen Manderfield, her husband Mark and the great crew on board. It has been a great July!
Until next time...”I will see you on the water”
