Our Community

We're a family restaurant. And, we believe our family is every member of every community that has a Texas Roadhouse.

It is important to give back to the communities that are so much a part of Texas Roadhouse.  That means playing an active role in the events that shape the lives of the people we live and work with. That's why you're likely to see Andy the Armadillo at your local little league game or reading to the children in your local schools. That's also why you'll see our Roadies both in the restaurant and out in the community supporting your local charitable organizations, schools, and fundraisers.

Here are a few of the exciting events we've been involved in recently:

  • Turnersville Honors a Local Hero

The Texas Roadhouse in Turnersville, NJ held a fundraiser for the Gloucester Township Police Department K-9 Unit, in memory of K-9 Schultz who was recently killed when he was hit by a car while chasing a robbery suspect on a busy Sicklerville road. Schultz died near the scene and was later taken to a veterinary hospital, where officers gathered after hearing he was involved in an accident. Schultz had lived with Officer Pickard and his family since he was 12 months old and had become a part of their family and fixture in the community.

Sicklerville had its first accumulating snow fall the night of the fundraiser but that didn't stop people from showing up! A total of $500 was raised that evening with an additional $350 raised threw silent auction baskets that were donated from other local businesses in the community.

  • Melbourne Feeds Ty and the Makeover Gang

When the Extreme Home Makeover team rolled into Melbourne, Florida the Legendary Roadies at the Palm Bay Roadhouse couldn't wait to help. They started cooking and didn't stop until the team rolled back out of town-serving dinner for over 300 people every night of the build.

  • Greenwood Roadies Reach Out to Rebuild

When the lil' Roadies of Emerson Elementary desperately needed to rebuild their playground, they turned to their friends at the Greenwood, Indiana Roadhouse for help. Managing Partner, George Hill, had the GENIUS idea of letting the students sell our fresh-baked rolls and cinnamon butter for a fundraiser. The kids went to work and sold 4,600 dozens rolls and 3,800 tubs of cinnamon butter. That's 55,200 rolls!!!

The fundraiser was a huge success. George and his crew were excited to present the Emerson Elementary students with a check for $11,100!
