On January 9th, 2005, Austin's own country music stars gathered together for a night of legendary compassion to benefit the survivors of the recent devastation in South Asia.
Willie, along with all of his friends who performed that evening, hopes to turn the tide beyond the concert by offering a CD and DVD of the historic event.
The CD and DVD feature performances by:
"Songs for Tsunami Relief" has been released nationwide and is available for purchase through participating Texas Roadhouse locations or on-line at www.texasroadhouse.com.
The "Songs for Tsunami Relief" CD is priced at only $12.99. The “Songs for Tsunami Relief” DVD is priced at only $18.99. OR, you can enjoy both the CD and DVD for the special bundle price of only $26.99! This special bundle price is available only through www.texasroadhouse.com.
All funds raised through our restaurants' efforts as well as the proceeds from the sale of the CD and DVD will be donated to the Tsunami Relief and Rebuilding efforts of Unicef and CARE. Both Unicef and CARE are well respected non-profit organizations operating worldwide. Each charity has a long-term commitment to making life better for those who were affected by the disaster.
To date, almost $75,000 has been donated.
