LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 9, 2013) – Mike Schmidt, of Corpus Christi, is the Texas Roadhouse Managing Partner of the Year, which is the company’s highest honor. He was chosen from a pool of more than 400 managers nationwide at the company’s annual conference in Maui this week.
The award recognizes the Managing Partner, or general manager, that best displays characteristics of an operational leader. Schmidt and the other 20 finalists were judged on seven criteria: Legendary Food, Legendary Service, Legendary Marketing, Legendary Culture, Legendary People, Legendary Profits and Legendary Pride and Passion.
“This award is truly a team effort,” says Schmidt. “I would like to thank my management team, staff for their hard work, and the Corpus Christi community for their support in creating a Legendary culture over the past eight years.”
He received a new Corvette, a lead crystal replica of a Texas Roadhouse restaurant, a Managing Partner of the Year ring, a gold belt buckle and a check for $25,000.
Schmidt has been the Managing Partner of the Corpus Christi location, located at 2029 S. Padre Island Drive, for 12 ½ years and prior to that worked for Texas Roadhouse in Florida for 3 ½ years.
