Texas Roadhouse Responds to False Online Allegations

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Texas Roadhouse today reiterated that recent allegations circulating online accusing restaurant employees of racist conduct and food tampering were false and part of an online hoax. When the accusations first surfaced on social media, Texas Roadhouse immediately launched an internal review and engaged a third-party online forensics firm to investigate the claims. Through that investigation, the company found no evidence supporting the allegations, no evidence of the alleged online group, and no connection to current or former Texas Roadhouse employees.

Company Statement

The following statement was released publicly by Texas Roadhouse following the completion of its investigation: "The post alleging the targeting of diners and food tampering has been proven as an online hoax. Our third-party online forensics firm, as well as multiple credible online publications have confirmed this is a baseless rumor. We love our communities and we remain committed to providing Legendary Food, Legendary Service to each and every guest we serve."

The company investigated the claims from the moment they surfaced because they were inconsistent with its values and commitment to treating every guest with dignity and respect. "False accusations of this nature are hurtful to our guests, our Roadies, and the communities we proudly serve."
